I'm still on tab S7+ and it's still perfect for me. I skipped 8, 9 and 10 as well. I will upgrade only when my S7+ kicks the bucket. A tablet is NOT a laptop - that's for serious stuff. I also have the proprietary keyboard case for my S7+, but I've never used it except for testing. Seriously, who would prefer to type on a tablet keyboard, especiallly if for example MS Office is so minimalistic in its mobile version??? I think companies should upgrade tablets / phones every 2-3 years, hardwarewise. The rest can come through software updates. The hardware is mostly the same for 3 years, isn't it? What's happening now is just consumerism. Be wiser! Use your stuff till it REALLY can't satisfy you in basically the same way as before.
😂I'm on the Tab S4 definitely time to upgrade! There's a lot of apps I can't use anymore. So this is good timing for me it will be 7+ years I've had Tab S4
Coming from a Tab 7+ been looking for comparing videos from 9+ and 10 + and from what im gathering more then at least 70% of people are saying S9+... God Bless... Thank you
Samsung didn't make enough changes for me to upgrade from the S9+. Especially when I'll get four years of updates. I expect to upgrade with the Tab S12 release, which is my typical upgrade time for tablets (every three to four years). Great video!
Your comparison was super helpful! After watching your vid, I decided to purchase an S9+ for Black Friday instead of an S10. Excellent video and new subscriber! Thank you so much!
Yet another excellent, hype-free, video. Afaik, if you don't game and mostly just consume video and browse, the Tab S9 tablets get a bit more screen on time. The SoC used in the Tab S9 and the Tab S10 were both made on the 4 nm process node. If you do a lot of gaming, but not the emulated titles, the Tab S10 has a clear edge. If you rarely upgrade then the extra years of software updates might be a factor. Or maybe not. Google's Project Treble has worked well for keeping older devices relevant, and as I type this from my PC, with my Tab S9 and Tab S9 Ultra charging, my still gorgeous to behold Tab S4, with Android 10, is downloading all the app updates that became available since I last had it turned on.
Hi, I'm trying to decide between s9 and s10+, upgrading from s7+. There isn't s9+ available in the deals for me so I'm a bit stuck which to go for. Any thoughts or words of wisdom?
First let me say this.. Your videos have topped the mountain and are up there with the best of YT content.. Traded my s9 plus for s10 plus only because it gave free keyboard and 700 for my s9 plus. I think the only thing that is a question mark will be the longevity of the MediaTek 9300 plus over the Snapdragon 8 gen 2..
Placed an order for the same trade in, hope I don't regret it. Have you noticed any slight improvements in performance in power hungry games? The s9 runs most things smooth as butter already but I have found a few games and apps that could use a little more power
I think Samsung should move it's tablet release a month or two later, maybe to be available for Christmas, that way it could use the last cpu either from Qualcomm or mediatek. It is really unfortunate that just after a month of their release mediatek and Qualcomm presented their new cpu so practically the are already a gen behind after just a month or two.
Many will look at the Tab S10 because it have seven years of update versus little over 4 yrs remaining on Tab S9. If I was to pick up a used one in the future, I would probably get the S10 since Samsung love locking down the bootloader on Snapdragon variant. Rip my Note 9.
4 years is if you only count security. In terms of OS updates (that is new features and ultimately app compatibility in the long term) it's only 3 left vs 7.
@_Digitalguy It wouldn't be too much of an issue if they unlock bootloader like past older devices or Exnyos ones. My Note 9 Snapdragon Android 10 is locked down to hell, but the Exnyos ones can be.
get a screen protector.. the display glass is wafer thin.. try to imagine it.. battery.. shell.. lcd.. not much glass on top of all that.. it's like a wafer.. mine broke from a 20g paper clip falling on it.. it's strong against taps but not pin point objects like keys or anything sharp... my s9 lasted me 1 week.. $1000 cnd down the drain.. thanks samsung
Just bought the s9 plus today coming from an ipad air 2 and having that for over 8 years. I'm already in the Samsung eco system with the s24 plus, buds pro 3, & galaxy watch 6 classic. I would've gotten the s10 plus as i was waiting to see what samsung was going to do but besides the anti glare, hearing mixed things about the new chipset and paying $700 for the s9 plus on sale vs not wanting to spend $1000 on a tablet. I'm glad I made my decision on the s9 plus. I'll see what samsung does for the future with tablets since there is some changes but not justified in spending that much for a tablet to me.
Until last year my favourite tablet was Samsung's 2016 Tab A, which I used in preference to the S3 I bought a year or so later. Last year I bought an S6 Lite when the Tab A was having greater problems coping with apps. This year I treated myself to an S10 plus, thinking a bigger, sharper screen would be good for my ageing eyes, but really I wonder if it was worthwhile, since I find, lacking Ivan's massive hands, the smaller S6 more comfortable to use. Many of us, me included, are dazzled by the hype of small technological improvements when perhaps we should be concentrating on whether we can notice any significant difference in the real world and whether those improvements will benefit us in our pattern of use. Some will need the improvements, but many of us won't. That said, it's nice to be future-proofed, even if I do feel like I've bought a Ferrari to drive to the grocery store.
Only if the trade-in difference would be less than $100. I still remember that I upgraded my tab S7 for a tab S8+ for only $90, that was a great trade-in deal.
Samsung tablets are generally good. They're better than other tablets. A few small software fixes would be helpful. Users should be able to give feedback directly to Samsung. The biggest improvement would be adding a keyboard like the Magic Keyboard for the Tab S9ultra/ S10 ultra series... because in general this is the weakest point especially for ultra models which meant to be used as Productivity tool
I've been debating getting a tablet to accompany my S24 ultra. Via the Samsung store, the S10 plus is about $240 cheaper than the S9 plus. I found an old, yet functional iPad in my garage, so the S10 plus would be sub $500 with my discounts and trade in credit. I'm curious to know why Samsung would be selling the older S9 plus for so much more than the newer model.
i have a tab s9FE.. would you recommend upgrading to the tab s10plus.. i now realize that i need the connection to the external projector and the amoled.. i would want to upgrade to the tab s9, but it is about teh same price as the tab s10plus (where im from, just around 200 dollars difference)...
I'm new to the tablet world & and I am thinking if I get the 10 instead of the 9, it will last longer in terms of software support & any new upgrades. Does that sound like decent reasoning?
Hi sir, i need your help should i go with the 8gb variant or the 12 gb variant of the s9 .My major requirement is of taking lectures with notes simultaneously with the split screen, your suggestion would be helpful
I’m planning to buy a Samsung tablet, and since it’s my first one, I’m torn between the Galaxy Tab S9+ and the S10+. Which one would be the better choice?
Just look at the price. Do place have the s9 at almost the same price of the s10. Usually about a 1to2 hundred dollar difference. You can either save the money on the s9 or get more updates out of the s10.
So actually it depends on trade in so if in US it's a trade any android tab for $300 off the s10+ making it effectively around $550 so it's actually a better deal for the s10+ but if s9+ goes on clearance then that might be better
Tyvm for the vid comparison. Perhaps at the time of making this vid it makes sense to go S9+ over S10+ but sometimes like currently sales are going which makes it worth it. Atm the S10+ is about $30-50 more but going much higher than than say $100 I would agree not worth it.
I'm thinking about buying a tab since a year now, but I have never had one, and I don't know which would be better since the new generation came. I was thinking about the Tab 9+, that I would use for mostly studying, and drawing doodles, maybe animating. I noticed that the Tab 9+ now is much cheaper than it was, but I'm still at a loss about it. Can someone please give some advice which does worth it? Thank you!
I am confused about which one should I go with the S10 plus or the S10 ultra . I am a medical school student and I find myself frequently taking notes. Further I should also add that I also prefer to use my tablet in my lap . Considering the huge size of S10 ultra I'm confused that if I try to use that in my lap I would find myself in a bit of trouble. I am planning to use any of the tab for not less than 4 years of time. I have got no issue with the budget. Your suggestion will definitely add to my decision. Thanks for considering my question .
Gonna upgrade soon, we still have the S8 Ultra and got it on release. It has been phenomenal ever since and hasn't slowed down a bit. We just need another smaller tablet for travel purposes, and the S10 seems to be perfect. The upgrade is only worth it every 2-3 years. If you're on S6-S8, then the upgrade is worth it. But if you have the 9, they seem to be pretty much almost the same thing. Year to year, the upgrade is minimal, it's when you start looking back multiple years. That's when the upgrades start looking massive
Thanks for the review, very helpful! Just had a quick look online the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ is at around £700 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ is at around £1000. For someone who is new to the tablet game you'd still say to get the s9+ considering the pricing difference here? Thanks!
You had me sold at it comes with anti-reflective anti-glare coating on it. Good trade in deal from Samsung will allow me to trade up for only 220.00 Worth it in my opinion.
I got the S6 tab lite as a free when i bought the s24+ phone, i like the size not so much the screen or performance, so it has prompted me to look up a better alternative
Informative video ivan Im still rocking my S6 lite since 2022 and its runs like brand-new though with occasional lag when multitasking. Im planning of upgrading to s9 as my fiancée has refuse to marry me if i dont give her the S6 lite 😂
Can you please compare the tab s10 plus vs the m2 ipad pro 12.9 inch because they are the same price on the Samsung Website and on the apple refurbished 😊
Choose based on what you want to do with them and if you care about having whatever matches your overall ecosystem. The m2 ipad is still more powerful. It doesn't have an oled screen but it's still a nice screen too. it will outperform in pretty much every way, smoother gaming, more support from pro apps, better photo and video editing apps, etc. Lots of games have 120fps support on the ipad where they do not on the samsung. Games like genshin impact run at a higher resolution on the ipad, and just plain look better. The galaxy tab has a nicer aspect ratio for watching movies and videos, nicer screen, and WAY better multitasking. Three way split screen + pop up tabs for running multiple apps at the same time, seriously, the ipad multitasking is a joke in comparison. So for general use, the things most people use their tablets for, I personally chose the samsung over the ipads even though I'm in the apple ecosystem and don't regret it at all. Do I wish we got a processor that bridges the gap between galaxy tabs and ipads a little more? Yeah. But the galaxy tabs still feel extremely fast for pretty much everything.
I have a S9 plus.....the upgrade for $220 is ATTRACTIVE......I just ordered the KEYBOARD for $220!!! I am still upset that my old S7 plus keyboard is not a exact fit for the S9 plus
Buddy the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 crushes the Mediatek 9300 when it comes to game emulation especially the harder stuff like Switch emulation and PC game emulation.
So if in US they have a trade in any android tablet for $300 off the S10+ so effectively making it around $550 (depending on what the price says) plus maybe with the app taking $50 off

Hi I'm thinking to buy a new tab and thought to buy so plus then saw both s9plus and s10 plus price is same i.e 91000 so i didn't know what to get and as in the video I went to s10 plus and I'm really happy with my choice 😃
I can barely hold my Palm Pre with one hand 😮💨
Yeah, let's buy the s9 😂🎉
They're definitely gonna feel it since the S25 will be using snapdragon
right now samsung gave me 950 for my s8 to upgrade to s10
so i paid 239 for a upgrade
and 600 for s8 the at the end of it cycle ie back in july of 2024 lol
I have s9 fe and i am enjoying it. If anyone has question, go ahead
How is the audio quality with the type c dongle?
Does it have display/video output? You know like can you hook it up to to monitor?
good choice! i got the s9FE but now im thinking of upgrading to the tab s10plus
I had an s9fe +, i sold it and i am buying s9 plus, it is not smooth at all and lagggy
@@alextraynor3223 the auido quality is something between decent and good. The only thing i realized about audio is, when you rise the sound max, speaker kinda vibrates, i dont know its a actual thing or can be happened in other samsung devices.
@@alextraynor3223 every video i saw says that you can't output display in fe series. Maybe you can go further and search more. I dont know how to do, or its just not working maybe.
Should i get S8 plus for $700 or s10plus for $1100? this is canadian dollars
Bro you need to test emulation.
wooooo , like this video❤
No
Ipad air vs S9
Either stay with the S9 series, or buy a S9 series if you want a samsung tablet. They are dicounted and these S10 are pointless upgrades.
I upgraded from S8 plus and have no regrets
Nice!!
:)
😇
Happy to see you
Never buy from Samsung directly. I tried to buy a Zfold 6 AND S10 plus in the same week and they made it a nightmare. Next round 5 years from now Samsung is out of the question for me.
I bet, if Samsung would have used the Snapdragon Elite, they'd have priced it at starting of $2000
😂
I bought the s10 plus, then i started watching reviews lol
Idk, im happy with the s10plus. I dont emulate games so this complaint about mediatek not being good at it doesnt concern me. I know the die hard snapD fans hate mediatek regardless.. like chipset racism 🫠
But meh it does the job
I hear ya, it's still a great device. You're good.
